(Week Four)

I'm seriously hoping you know the song thats being referenced above, otherwise that is a rather strange title. The title describes my longing to find one more educator to seal off my data collecting process.

And i am elated to say that by Wednesday morning i had my last set of data! five students. two educators. I was finished. With one stage at least.

So most of the week consisted of sorting through the data, finding common themes, surprising findings, patterns and so on. I actually found it very interesting and enjoyed trying to understand the people behind the answers i was reading. I do recommend a bigger sample group because let's be honest, if a company is going to invest upward of fifty grand into a design solution, you should definitely have a more reliable set of data. I would recommend at least 10% of the amount of people that will be impacted by the design, should be included in the sample. In that case my sample would've been closer to 100, but time and access has forced the design thinking process to adjust.

Once the data was sorted, all the findings were formatted so that i could start in the presentation. I designed icons, layout, colour schemes, all the while thinking of the solution that would match the needs of my sample group.

My solution consists of two concepts, both can be scaled for affordability and will have impact on my end user.

Until next week,
